Max has been learning new skills by the day, and for his 12 week birthday he impressed me with a new one. He’s always liked it when I make a raspberry noise (pthththththhth!), and now he can do it right back. It took him a little while – first he learned to stick his tongue out just a bit, then he started exhaling at the same time, and now he applies just enough pressure to get the noise. It’s adorable, and he loves doing it with me.

Yup. It’s true! I LOVE dessert. I LOVE pastries. I LOVE ice cream. I LOVE everything sweet. It makes me happy! My little sister reminded me of a fun summertime dessert which is so easy to make and uses the delicious fruits that summer brings.
Eaton Mess:

It’s basically meringue (home-made or store bought – I got mine from Viktor Benés since making meringue while taking care of an 11 week old is out of the question), cut up strawberries and very lightly whipped cream. Smash up the meringues into bite size pieces, cut up very sweet strawberries into bite sized pieces, lightly whip some heavy cream with a little sugar to taste, mix all together. That’s it! It’s so easy and delicious. I’m enjoying a bowl right now!

Just wanted to upload a few very cute pictures of Max.

He doesn’t have any teeth yet, but it’s a really adorable outfit from Kimberly.

Max and I go for walks almost every day and each time I put him in the stroller he gives me this look. The worried look doesn’t last long – he’s usually passed out within minutes of going outside. It’s amazing he can sleep through all the traffic noises and bumps on the side walk.
Max will be 11 weeks on Sunday! I can’t believe how fast time flies. I’m enjoying every single moment I have with him since I’ll be back at work at the end of August. I’ve started my search for a nanny – someone who can come to our home and look after him 5 days a week. If anyone has any leads, please let me know.

Max had his 2 month check-up last week. His stats: height 24″ (90th percentile), weight 12 lbs. 11 oz. (75th percentile), and the circumference of his head 15″ (average).
He had his 2nd round of shots (first round was at UCLA when he was born) and I cried more than he did. Apart from an upset tummy in the afternoon, he coped really well.
It’s amazing to think only 2 months ago I could carry him with one arm! He’s becoming more interactive and smiling and cooing more everyday. He’s discovering his hands and realizing they belong to him.
I installed the wordpress app on my phone, so I’m hoping to post more updates and photos soon.
