So I stumbled across this little contest while surfing one of my favorite blogs. I really enjoy fashion and I love to draw so I decided, why not? I’ve never designed clothing, but the rules say anyone can enter. The contest opened on the 10th and I have until November 3rd to submit a design. Hopefully I’ll find some time to come up with a few options and post them here so I can get feedback prior to submitting my entry. Stay tuned!

That’s how much we won! I’m pretty excited about it because I’ve never won at the Lotto before. We were a day late buying the Mega Millions ticket, but we got a 900% return on the Super Lotto. That’s pretty good in my book. They took the winning ticket from me at the liquor store, so I have no proof except the cash in my hand that I matched 3 numbers! The Mega Millions is currently $12 million and I’ll keep my fingers crossed ’til the drawing tomorrow.

F.Y…eye! by Benefit. It seriously does what it’s supposed to do. I wasn’t expecting much because usually these things are just gimmicks, but I had to give it a try. Hallelujah! No more smudged eye shadow. Try it out. You’ll be amazed!

Although I’ve never been… We’ll visit one day though.
But for now, I’ll leave you with this song that I can’t get out of my head…

A while ago I posted a link to YouTube showcasing a cute illustrated cat. Well, Simon’s cat is up to it again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rb8aOzy9t4

I don’t know about you, when whenever I see my name or initials, it kinda excites me! Actually, anything with my name is fun. So when I saw my initials on the ground, I had to take a picture. I thought it was quite special, but then as I walked further along the sidewalk, I noticed that GS was on the ground everywhere with an arrow pointing upwards between the G and the S. I think it might have to do with the city or waterworks.

Happy Leap Day! February 29th only happens every 4 years, which got me thinking about what was happening 4 years ago. In February 2004, Brad proposed while we were on a snowboarding trip near Lake Louise in Canada (for anyone interested, Brad didn’t propose on Valentine’s day – it was February 6th). So the following 6 months was all about planning the wedding. We were married in October of 2004 in Kauai, Hawaii. I dug up these photographs which brought back many memories.

After the wedding, in November, we honeymooned in Bora Bora, which was really fun. We stayed at the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort and Spa in a bungalow over the water. It was totally relaxing and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. It rained a few days, but it didn’t stop us from exploring and scuba diving.

We spent December at home in LA.
This leap year, I’ve been following the presidential elections closely and I’ve been studying a lot about American history. I am planning on becoming a citizen and I will be adding Brad’s surname to my name. Later on this year, Beijing is hosting the summer Olympics which really pleases me. I look forward to all the swimming and water events. We’ve also planned a trip to visit Greece and a camping trip in Bend with Brad’s family. Very exciting times!
